2025.04.02 The Yabusame and Kasagake to Wish for the Safe Holding of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan will take place on Saturday, April 5, and Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Expo venue during the test run period of the Osaka Kansai Expo.

Dates and times: Session 1 11:30 am–12:30 pm, Saturday, April 5
Session 2 2:30 pm–3:30 pm, Saturday, April 5
Session 3 1:00 pm–2:45 pm, Sunday, April 6
Session 4 3:00 pm–4:00, Sunday, April 6
• Session 3 will open with Shinto ceremonies, and the horses are expected to start running later, from around 1:30 pm.
• In addition to demonstrations of yabusame and kasagake, there will be an exhibition and experience area featuring Kamakura-bori lacquerware, Japanese saddlery and archery equipment, and more.
• During the times between the yabusame and kasagake sessions, there will be opportunities to meet the archers and feed the horses.
While only invitees to the test run (approximately 40,000 Osaka Prefecture residents) will be able to view the event on-site, we invite you to join us virtually via live streams of the sessions on YouTube.

The Yabusame and Kasagake to Wish for the Safe Holding of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan will be conducted as a government-agency partnered event with the support of the Agency for Cultural Affairs. This will be the very first outdoor event at the Osaka Kansai Expo, albeit during the test-run period, and it is our honor to take the lead and kick off the festivities with a bang.
